And those who are agnostic, they aren't
Sure it's true or fraud.
They call them atheistic when they
Don't believe in God
And me? I'm not much different:
I've also lost my faith.
I don't know what to call me,
But I don't believe in state.

American Woman
Americana, go away!
I've got no time for you today,
And million things I'd rather do
Than wile away my days with you.
Americana, hypnotize!
And sparkle someone else's eyes.
Your shadow darkens black my door.
Scintillate me nevermore.
And sparkle someone else's eyes.
Your shadow darkens black my door.
Scintillate me nevermore.
Americana, leave me be!
I don't know what you want from me.
Indeed, you dazzle something fine,
But girl, your schemes are serpentine!
I don't know what you want from me.
Indeed, you dazzle something fine,
But girl, your schemes are serpentine!
Americana, ¡déjame!
Listen close to what I say:
I've more important things to do
Than turn into a prune with you.
Americana, save the drama!
Your fav'rite hobby: I don't wanna.
I've neither patience nor the time.
Americana, save the drama!
Your fav'rite hobby: I don't wanna.
I've neither patience nor the time.
So let our paths not intertwine.
¡Déjame en paz, mami!
How I wish you'd let me be!
Just tell me plainly what I owe.
¡Déjame en paz, mami!
How I wish you'd let me be!
Just tell me plainly what I owe.
I'll settle, then you let me go.
I'll be your genie--wishes three.
That's two for you, then wish me free.
That's two for you, then wish me free.
There's million things I'd rather do
Than slave beholden unto you.
Than slave beholden unto you.
So leave me lonesome. Let me be.
Mami, get away from me!
I've more important things to do
Than wile away my days with you.

Enshrined
A woman? Breasts, without a mind.
And Muslims, we must keep in line.
This is what we have enshrined,
But that's no president of mine.
My America is free.
Her citizens diversity
Her citizens diversity
From every single rainbow shade
Is how a melting pot is made.
Our streets are asphalt, or concrete.
The gold? Well that's hyperbole.
But if you dream to make it big,
This fertile land is where you dig.
And if your dreams don't reach the sky,
And you're content to just get by.
Well, my friend, you've found the place
To enter in the rodent race.
Now we're not perfect, we're not pure.
Like roses nurtured with manure.
We've sins a plenty, best believe,
Just ask the reds whose land we seized.
And marched them to some arid span
And called it reservation land.
Yet more than just the dirt we stole
Exposing this, our blackest soul.
And brought the negroes on the ships,
And kept them under lock and whip.
And it took a civil war
To say, "Don't do this anymore."
What's more, the seldom mentioned guilt:
The Chinamen, the rail they built.
And many more iniquities
Glossed over in in our histories.
What's more, the seldom mentioned guilt:
The Chinamen, the rail they built.
And many more iniquities
Glossed over in in our histories.
So I don't write to wax romantic,
Ascribing praise that is not granted.
Streets of gold, or so they say,
Paved over bones of yesterday.
But still, there's progress we have made.
With some wrongs righted on the way.
Yet now it's something to dismay
Ascribing praise that is not granted.
Streets of gold, or so they say,
Paved over bones of yesterday.
But still, there's progress we have made.
With some wrongs righted on the way.
Yet now it's something to dismay
We're sliding back to yesterday.
They say, "Now it can't happen here.
So let that clown have his four years."
Did you forget the trail of tears?
Omitted all the slaver years?
They say, "Now that was long ago,
We've evolved." But is that so?
Or did it smolder underneath?
'Cause look what happened just this week.
White supremacy, emboldened.
The blatant lies we're now beholden.
And Muslims? Put them on a list?
I really can't believe this shit.
Or did it smolder underneath?
'Cause look what happened just this week.
White supremacy, emboldened.
The blatant lies we're now beholden.
And Muslims? Put them on a list?
I really can't believe this shit.
A woman? Pussy, to be be grabbed.
And dump her when her assets sag.
This is what we have enshrined,
But that's no president of mine.
This is what we have enshrined,
But that's no president of mine.
We love our moms, uplift our daughters.
It matters not if we be fathers.
In these states, there's decency,
At least... well... there sure used to be.
In these states, there's decency,
At least... well... there sure used to be.
But the land I live, the land of free,
The land that fed and nurtured me.
Despite our roses grown from shit,
Expected so much more this.
Despite our roses grown from shit,
Expected so much more this.
It's not our fault, we've too much class.
It's stupid, backward, inbred trash!
They're the ones who bring us down,
Electing that most vile clown!
Their mannerisms, southern drawl,
So much comedic fodder all.
The one who's laughing now is y'all.
And goad us shouting, "Build that wall!"
The one who's laughing now is y'all.
And goad us shouting, "Build that wall!"
But don't decry them, not tonight,
'Cause yes we did ignore their plight.
And those that wear the collar blue,
All of us were failing you.
And those that wear the collar blue,
All of us were failing you.
Of course we don't always agree,
That's nature of democracy
That's nature of democracy
But one thing I don't understand,
Is disregard for fellow man.
"Those damn illegals, they're the worst!"
Said as if we settled first.
Yet those with credence to that claim,
Harassed on North Dakota's plain.
A whole religion vilified,
Because a few have terrorized.
And though they be just as appalled,
Vilify them one and all!
"Those damn illegals, they're the worst!"
Said as if we settled first.
Yet those with credence to that claim,
Harassed on North Dakota's plain.
A whole religion vilified,
Because a few have terrorized.
And though they be just as appalled,
Vilify them one and all!
With naked malice for the truth,
And rhetoric that has no proof.
This is what we have enshrined,
But that's no president of mine.
This is what we have enshrined,
But that's no president of mine.
